Cabarete Race Week for Windsurfers

Cabarete Race Week in June: Windsurfers have been visiting Cabarete since the mid 80s because of the fantastic conditions available for every level of sailor. Cabarete has played host to numerous world-class events. Every June, it hosts Cabarete Race Week, an international windsurfing competition that incorporates exciting windsurfing competition and a ton of fun!

Whale Watching in Dominican Republic

Whale Season: 85% of the humpback whales of the North West Atlantic are born in Dominican waters, where they return every year to breed and give birth. The season is January through March.

At present, the humpback whale is an endangered species, for there are only about 6,000 of them in the entire world. Of those, it is estimated that some 2,000 to 3,500 visit the Silver Bank and the Marine Mammal Sanctuary in our northern waters.
